Why Choose Us

What Sets Our Landscaping Apart

We are a locally owned landscaping company. We are licensed and insured. We care for homes, offices, retail centers, HOAs, and municipal properties. Our equipment is commercial grade. The blades are sharpened daily. Clippings go back onto the lawn instead of the mulch beds. Every estimate is free.

In the Area

Trimming Trees Over Landis Streets and Sidewalks

Owners of overhanging trees must keep branches 13 feet clear above the street and 8 feet clear above the sidewalk, under the landscape ordinance in effect since May 2021. The town can prune a tree or shrub on private property that is a public-safety hazard, and only utility or approved public crews may prune trees in the public right-of-way. Check the clearance over your street and sidewalk against those heights.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Routine maintenance of existing vegetation outside the public right-of-way, such as pruning, watering, and fertilizing, is exempt, and so is land disturbance normally tied to living in an existing single-family or two-family home. A permit is needed to remove a tree, except a dead one or one diseased beyond treatment, and to excessively prune it, apply chemicals harmful to it, or disturb the soil in its critical root zone, the ground around its roots.

Under the town’s fee schedule for fiscal year 2026-27, Landis town water starts at $8.75 per 1,000 gallons and rises by tier to $9.50, with a $12.50 monthly service fee. Out-of-town customers pay $10.40 to $11.19. Sewer is billed separately. Find out which rate your meter falls under when you budget for a new lawn.

For new non-residential sites, multi-family projects of four or more units, and subdivisions of four or more lots, the town’s landscape rules, in effect since May 2021, bar spray irrigation in required planting beds except on turf and suggest drip irrigation while plants establish. The landowner or contractor must water required plants for the first year after planting. Choose drip lines for the beds, and keep spray heads for the turf at a commercial grounds maintenance site.

Under the Landis stormwater ordinance, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and yard waste are pollutants that may not reach the storm drain system. Water that runs off a lawn during normal watering is allowed to reach the drains. Fertilizer or clippings left on a driveway or curb can wash into a drain. Sweep or blow them back onto the lawn.
