Why Choose Us
We are a locally owned landscaping company. We are licensed and insured. We care for homes, offices, retail centers, HOAs, and municipal properties. Our equipment is commercial grade. The blades are sharpened daily. Clippings go back onto the lawn instead of the mulch beds. Every estimate is free.

In the Area
Davidson requires a town permit to remove any tree more than 12 inches across at chest height, including on private lots, and the permit follows a meeting with the town Arborist. A permit that is not tied to a building permit carries no fee and is valid for nine months, under the planning ordinance dated August 2024. If a bed redesign would take out a large tree, plan on a meeting with the Arborist and a permit.

Questions
In a locally designated historic district, removing a mature tree also needs a tree permit, and a Certificate of Appropriateness where the historic district report or landmark designation names the tree as significant. The tree planted in its place must be a similar species, under the planning ordinance dated August 2024.
A project under an approved plan that needs a landscape screen must plant six large maturing trees and 40 shrubs for every 100 linear feet, in a strip at least 15 feet wide, under the planning ordinance dated August 2024. The ordinance requires a 24-month warranty period for planted trees and 18 months for other plants. Compare any estimate for commercial grounds care against the approved plan.
Not without an encroachment agreement. The planting standards in the town’s planning ordinance, dated August 2024, bar irrigation lines in the planting strip or other public right-of-way without one. Get that agreement in place if sprinkler heads will sit near the curb.
Where a site has an approved landscape plan or permit, the owner must replace plants that die from negligence or natural forces by the current or next planting season, under the planning ordinance dated August 2024. Fines run $100 for each tree and $50 for each shrub not replaced, and the owner and the contractor are jointly liable. Replacing a dead tree or shrub on time keeps the owner clear of those fines.
